Boba Network

Boba Network ($BOBA) is a next-generation Ethereum Layer 2 Optimistic Rollup scaling solution that reduces gas fees, improves transaction throughput, and extends the capabilities of smart contracts. It offers fast exits backed by community-driven liquidity pools, shrinking the Optimistic Rollup exit period from seven days to only a few minutes, while giving LPs incentivized yield farming opportunities.

Boba is not a side chain. Side chains are their own blockchain systems with entirely separate consensus mechanisms. Boba Network lives inside of Ethereum as a series of smart contracts that are capable of executing Ethereum transactions. Whereas side chains rely on their own consensus mechanisms for security, Boba, as a child chain, instead relies on the security of Ethereum itself
Boba Network has a max recorded of 43 Transactions Per Second (TPS)
Boba transaction fees are, for the most part, significantly lower than on the Ethereum mainnet. The cost of every transaction is the sum of two values:

L2 (execution) fee, charged as tx.gasPrice * l2GasUsed (up to tx.gasLimit). The L2 gas price will vary depending on network congestion
L1 (security) fee, charged as l1GasPrice * l1GasUsed. This is the cost of storing the transaction's data on L1
